Scubafish welcomes the latest edition to their fleet of dive boats – MV Maya II. With very spacious dive areas, relaxing sun-decks on 3 levels and our ever-friendly, experienced crew – we’re sure you’ll be just as excited as we are with our newest dive boat!

Bow of Scubafish Dive Boat MV Maya IIAt 23m long by 4.5m wide, she’s a comfortably large, steel boat with a v-shaped hull and two powerful Nissan V8 engines allowing her to travel at an impressive cruising speed of 14 knots.

We’re predicting journey times of just 40 mins to Ko Haa and under 2 hours to Hin Daeng & Hin Muang. Departing directly from the Pimalai Jetty in Kantiang Bay in the south of Ko Lanta, Scubafish is ideally located to reach some of the best dive sites in Thailand and still have you back on the beach in plenty of time to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.

With 37 tank racks on each side of the dive platform, there’s plenty of space to gear up and get your dive equipment ready. The dive platform lies low in the water to aid entry and exit, and if you’re learning to dive, our staff are always ready to help you check and adjust your equipment.

The shaded open air area on the upper deck offers long cushioned benches and tables. For your convenience the counter on this level is stocked with facilities for making hot and cold beverages, and there’s even a couple of toasters! In the large ice box you can find a wide selection of cold drinks – ice coffees, fruit juices, coke, sprite and water to enjoy free of charge throughout the day.

Top Deck of Maya Dive BoatThe top-level sundeck offers great views for those wanting a suntan and is a great place to get photos of the stunning Lagoon at Ko Haa.

The lower deck is comprised of a lounge, the dive deck, 2 bathrooms and the galley. The lounge is a dedicated dry area, and offers a break from the heat if you require it, thanks to electric fans! Furnished with 4 booth-style cushioned seats and tables, this is an ideal space for planning and logging your dives, or even catching up on some PADI Coursework. There are numerous electric power points allowing you to plug in your laptop and start editing those underwater images, and for your entertainment, enjoyment (and perhaps even PADI education) we can further boast a TV and DVD player.

Between the lounge and the dive deck is the galley and 2 spacious bathrooms, each with a western style flush toilet, hand basin, and a freshwater shower. The bathrooms are even equipped with shampoo and shower gel.

The lower deck and engine room houses a double generator system to supply 240V power to the boat and to run 2 Coltri MCH16 compressors for filling tanks.

We’re all looking forward to cruising out to Ko Haa on her tomorrow for her maiden voyage!
